Setting up FAQs
All raw milk products should remain chilled while in transit and when you get home. When picking up your milk, rather it be from the farm or from one of our convenient pick up locations, it is important to transport milk in an insulated cooler with ice to your homes. Once home, the milk should be placed on the top shelf of your refrigerator and your refrigerator should be kept at 35 degrees to ensure freshness of your milk. When in use, the milk should not stay out for long periods of time due to milk will naturally change to the temperature of your home. Also, always shake your milk daily to keep with cream and milk mixed together, even when not in use, to ensure freshness.
If the milk is kept cold and stored in refrigerator set at 35 degrees, the milk will last 7-10 days. We offer our customers milk in glass jars to help ensure that the milk stays colder for longer, also using glass jars is healthier for the environment and protects from breakdown caused by using plastic materials. Glass jars are to be returned when picking up your next order and should be rinsed and clean when they are returned. We will re-sanitize each jar at a very high temperature to ensure they are toughly cleaned. If jars are not returned, broken or lost, the member is responsible for paying for the replacement of the jar, at 10 dollars per jar.
Many people are lactose intolerant; however, they are able to enjoy raw milk due to lactase is being destroyed when pasteurized and lactase is an enzyme that helps with pre-digestion of milk. When milk is pasteurized, it destroys or significantly reduces the amount of nutrients that are naturally found in raw milk.
